Starting his career in litigation and employment law, he gained essential skills in dispute resolution and risk management, which laid the groundwork for a deeper specialization in corporate law. Transitioning to the financial services sector, he honed expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk mitigation. Today, as the founder of his own law firm, Sean is dedicated to helping corporate clients navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes, offering customized legal solutions to support business growth and minimize legal risks.

Wei Yang is a dispute resolution lawyer with experience across a broad range of matters, including defamation, contractual and commercial disputes, intellectual property, family law, estate matters, and strata management disputes.

He has appeared in matters across all levels of the Malaysian courts, including the Federal Court, and was involved in a Federal Court trademark infringement matter within his first year of practice.
From 2023 to 2026, he practised at an award-winning law firm, where he was promoted to Senior Legal Associate in March 2025 in recognition of his ability and dedication.

His notable experience includes:-

Assisting in obtaining leave to appeal to the Federal Court on questions of law involving important assessment of damages for intellectual property rights.

Representing clients in a contentious property ownership dispute involving trust law principles all the way to the Federal Court.

Acting for clients in a contentious Letter of Administration dispute involving estate matters which established Malaysian legal principles concerning the doctrine of executor de son tort.

Representing a client in a contentious divorce proceeding, which resulted in significant damages being awarded against the co-respondent for adultery and a highly favourable outcome for the client.
